Attempted some photos of the waxing crescent moon the other night. This seems like it should be another flavour of ”night sky” photography but it’s kind of the opposite. The moon is pretty bright. So instead of a wide lens with very high ISO and long exposures, 200mm zoom, low iso, and very short exposures. I found it hard to get focus right (I really need new eyes) but was pretty happy they turned out at all.

when I deliberately overexposed with a long exposure, I got the whole of the moon, along with a few stars, which was pretty cool!
